She deliberately short-changed you. I could tell by the part where she looked to her co-worker. Ask for the instant replay, she'll get hers. I loathe people who expect tips for 3rd rate service. Next time when you pay, state loudly" HERE'S A TWENTY"

When I tend bar I make it a point to always repeat the bill back to the person; I.e. I'll say 9.00 and then when they hand a 20 over say 'out of 20' that way there is no confusion;
I try and stay out of DD as a rule once my medium ice coffee jumped to 2.11; now I only go when noone else is open

I agree rockhound, repeat what is given to you. You really need to blame the managers for ill-training their workers. When I first started out in retail as a youngster, my manager taught me how to take money, lay the bills across the drawer before giving back the change and how to actually count back the change without having to look at what the register says the change is. Dumb kids some of them are, but dumber managers.
