Head down to any of the local tackle shops, they will be able to help. There is a map of certain well known spots in the canal. They will give you a good start.

Read this topic on the Canal. Great post by Mike P.

Thanks folks for the input. Todays forecast for the next day or two seems to have south facing beach's rocking and rolling. I think fishing estuaries or bays seems like the ticket, perhaps the merrimack since I've yet to fish there this year. I'd hate to drive all the way to RI just to have to turn back. I guess I'll wait for a weather update tonight. Happy cow hunting to all.

Southeast facing beaches tonight will be the most dangerous.
Southwest tomorrow during the day.
Sunday looks "ok" currently.

Water was very clear and hardly any weed this morning when i came in at 430, swell subsided big time at high tide. Just had to figure out how to get my eel behind the breaking waves and i did all right. Going out now to town beach to check out the surf, ill snap a few pix if its huge.

The Elizabeths

I'm planning on fishing the Elizabeth Islands (Quicks and Robinsons) Saturday morning. Right now they're forcasting 2 footers and subsiding through the day to 1-2 foot.

I'm in a 19 foot CC....any problems?

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
