I use an Improved Cinch Knot with 7 turns on Orvis Mirage in 40LB, 60LB, and 80LB fluoro. I've never had a slip.

Zacs, for me anyway, I use the 80LB when fishing around heavily rocky areas or when I want to get stripers but know the blues are present also. Otherwise, I use 60LB most of the time.

to each his own. for me, 40 lb in the sand or on the boat, 50 lb in the rocks. Uni to the swivell, palomar to the hook/clip. If blues are around in abundance, wire leader. If not in abundance, 50 lb. Man, I find the 50 lb. stiff, 80 lb. must be like a trying to tie a knot in a coat hanger...

i bent my wookie
