looking for a rod to match a calcutta 401TE

Would like to have it in the 10' range with the ability to handle upto 5oz lure weight....

need it to be light and have enough backbone to handle most fish... most of the fish have been catching are in the 20-35# range...

I'm throwing pencils, eels, polaris, surfsters, ect.... ocassional tin here and there... will be fishing with mono for a bit then maybe depending on how the mono holds up might switch to 50#PP.

thanks in advance,
Paul

It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but the All Star 1088, 400TE and 50lb Spectron is a killer rig. Very lightweight and a lotza power...

9' with an 8 tip. I think it's rated 2-6...but haven't ever gone above 4. I'm sure someone here knows the upper limit...it's a very fast rod.

Don't know if you can still get them, but the Batson SU may be the same???

Allstar 1266. Lami XRA 1205 , Lami XRA 126 1MH , Allstar 1209.

trouble is the 5 OZ for many. many more rods will do 4 well but are weak at 5 OZ.
