I've been wanting to make these for awhile now.

They came out great!

Mucho Gracias to senoir Jigman for doing the how-to.

This winter i'll be making a big batch.

the pic still doesn't quite show the effect you get, it's like a holographic yo-zuri type finish.

The bottom one i did first, just like the how-to. When i got to the epoxy part I ended up getting some areas that sagged and others that didn't get enough epoxy. The 5 min epoxy didn't give me enough work time to coat the whole plug, me being used to envirotex. I was too late in trying to 'roll' the epoxy smooth with a magizine cover ( i even used a cabela's catalog as i was instructed ) I then coated the plug after it dried with e-tex a made it somewhat better.

On the other 3 i just did the 5 min epoxy around the belly hook hole, and the end of the plug to tack the body-braid to the plug. Did the tailwrap, then two coats of e-tex to cover the braid.
One top one, i didn't put enough 5 min epoxy on the tail. The braid separated from the plug, but the epoxy kept it from unraveling.

The hypnotic thing is more noticable with the darker colors, the top one (which is spoken for ) has a more subtle effect.

Try the 30 minute, 2 ton devcon instead of the 5 minute Holds up in water better and won't yellow as quickly. Or, if you like etex better, go with that. They also make that same cord in silver and gold if you want to experiment further.

Where did you get the devcon? I looked at homie's and the craft store and didn't find it in either one.
I think i might have seen some in the flyshops?
