That stuff is awesome. I think it is some kind of acid but man does it clean! I could not believe my eyes when I hosesd it off.

Oxalic acid. You can buy a pound or 2 at the local drug store and mix it with water.

Yes, and it turns aluminum black and pits stainless. Rinse with lots of water if you do get it on any metal.

Yes the stuff works great. IIRC the label states that it also contains hydrochloric <SP?> acid

If its got HCl in it, keep far from stainless, it will remove the natural passivation layer and attack the SHEET out of it.
