Beautiful weekend comming, seas 1-2 ft, tank 1/2 full, (125 gal), wife and 3 kids ready to go -- IAM GOING -- but it sure will hurt when it comes time to fill up Sunday afternoon..... HMMM I wonder if they will take the smallest child in trade?

I'm beginning to really think through all my traveling now. Consolidate trips , do without , walk to lunch , slow down a little. Anyway , $4/gal. does get your attention!  |

cut back with the Sea Hunt unless I start fishing [[3] with gas money /
Now I,m gonna keep the CRV & look into getting a trailer hitch /with it I will then tow the tin boat .that uses like no gas ////
soooooooooooooooooooooo I,ll keep doing it
But between gas & the cost of eels //I,m getting closer to crossword puzzles as a [[thing]]  |

From the boat: I think I'll be "drifting" eels more than trolling...and making shorter runs in the boat.
From the beach: I won't be running up and down the beach as much, and will keep the truck in just a few spots. |

I am definately using the 14' tin boat way more then the 20' glass boat. So glad I did not get rid of it when I got the new boat 3 years ago. Paul

I used to be able to fill my truck on $20 and drive for a week!
Now it's going to take $20 to fill the tank on my ride on tractor to cut my grass!!! 
As for my boat,
I may have to start acceping (or asking for ) gas money when I take friends out !!!
I have definately changed some of my ways by fishing inside Boston harbor instead making LONG runs just to go cod fishing for fun!!! |
