Thumbs up

Rinnai Makes a propane heater that brings the air in from outside and shoots whatever exhaust back out the same pipe. I highly recommend those, I bought two. Next time you're in Truro I'll demonstrate if you like. OH, BTW, I'm wicked jealous over your new shop! www.rinnai.us

Wink

They were under 1400 bucks each, installed. Worth every penny last fall until the end of November. That house never had any sort of central heat in it's 175 years. Fall and Spring were a test of endurance. We opened April 15 and closed November 1. That little heater took the chill out right quick. Just push a button to start. Push another to set the thermostat. Usually when I buy something I feel like I got screwed. I felt like I stole this thing..

if your looking for lot's of lite,,,take a old therm.pane sliding door pannel and place it sideway's over your work bench,,south facing is best for the low winter sun.

Insulation will be your best buddy, don't skimp on it,

BOAT fish do count.

Going fiberglass bats Steve...walls and roof! With the windows I want to install...should get some good residual heat from the winter sun through them.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Larry:
My shop is in my basement and I use this radiator thingie I bought at Wally Mart. Electric and I believe it is filled with some kind of oil. No open flame or element so it's radiant heat that heats the space and works great. My shop is about 10 by 15 so it's not a big space to heat.

No boat, back in the suds.

Larry, real nice. Couple a skylights would give you the light your looking for, either stationary or open for ventilation.
