Quick & true story: A number of years ago in Montauk, I get out to this rock which is about 50 yards from shore and I am about 25-30 yards further out than my closest caster...everyone is behind me basically. A huge school of bass in the 15-20 lb class comes in on peanuts and they are all around me and are bumping my legs as they are swarming on the bait. I cannot hook up as my cast, even under handed is going past them....I try just dropping the bucktail in and swirling it around but no takers...I look behind me and see literally everyone and I mean everyone behind me is hooked up....I was so frustrated I started laughing
and eventually got knocked off the rock by the bass around my legs....what an experience!
