I by no means am a breachway expert but there is a certain M.O. that goes on there.cast out at a 2 o'clock angle letting line out for specific count.then a slow retrieve In the sweeping current.Any plugs that will not pop out in a good current will work.Sometimes u can tune a metal lip to swim in a good current by bendin the eyelet up.an if u haveto bending the lip up will pull it down.it helps to be on the same page as the other guys fishin there.5 guys pluggin an one guy eelin is not good math.i suggest a daytime run to get the feel.then when u go at night pay close attention to what is goin on before u get in the rotation.

Plugs that will wiggle and stay down...

What happens is 5 guys catching teen fish and the eel guy is getting the biggers

Seriously - there are a lot of drift issues form the tip:

how far across current you cast (hooking up with thr freindly other side)

Braid or mono

plugs:

light plugs, bombers et all can catch up to the lure before (give addequate time)

One thing to keep in mind about the breachways, once you get over 6-7-8 people, it becomes a charlie foxtrot. Too long between casts, sneaker people breaking their buttocks, hacks, line foul ups, a fish swimming up the breach and people still casting , 40+ minutes between casts, oh yeh, and 2-3 pound bluefish stacked up in the gauntlet to intercept every offering...

The breachway experience, more often than not these days, is a gaggle-puke of people unprepared and crossing others up and not showing courtesy. People going down with 7 foot rods, people with sinkers and chunk bait, no regard for the rotation, especially on weekends.

People peesin' off the local landowners leaving trash, making noise, korker clanking up people's driveways (not that all L.O.s there are nice, most if not all should be respected), animate talking at 2 in the morning. Just a general disregard for anyone else...

Thats easy U push him in an take his eels....
like johnny says...Its not a user friendly place.the few times I was there it was not to crowded the fishin wasn't spectacular either.
I can see where more tha 4 can really stink i don't like to wait.Line foulups.stink.If really crowded i would just foul everyone up till they all left..
One more serios note U gotta be respectfull of the rightofway there.I can see them shutting it down in a heartbeat. An theat would really stink.

Talking Funny story

About two years ago I was lucky enough to share the end of the Wekpg Breachway with a family of tourists. They were going for snappers and I ended up gettin into a good size Blue Devil, it crossed all but one of ther lines (about five). Needless to say, they called me every name in the book, I think.
( Asian is not my specialty) So, to smooz things over I offerd my catch to them.
The dad came over to help me unhook this demon of the deep (one hand on his bucket, the other fist deep inside It's maw)
EEOWWWWWWWWCH muct be a universal word
We all had a good chuckle, especially his kids.
Hell of a nice guy, shared a couple of beers and a good lesson learned.
(Dont mess with the needles)
