Hopes And Aspirations For The Fall?

Anyone have any special trips planned to capitalize on the fall fishing? Dream locations they might be hitting? Goals they have to finish the season on a high note?

I will be hitting Cuttyhunk again with hopes of getting my large! It will be a great trip if I get it or not but I plan on fishing alot more than sleeping!

Cape fishing I am not sure about.....how much time I will spend down there this fall. I have been down there quite a bit but with worse than poor results...I am afraid the seals have screwed it up beyond belief down there...just my opinion so I may be fishing close to home more...cause I can get skunked here for less money!

I just hope to finish the season in a blaze of glory cause I need some good fishing memories to keep me warm this winter cause its gonna be a long, cold one!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I would like to try to catch at least a few fish each time I go out. I don't set high goals because my skills are marginal at best. I want to put more time on the water to become a better surfcaster.

Hope to meet Vineyardblues on the Vineyard for a day in Oct. and get my first Albie. Maybe even on my own metal. Paul

I am so pumped up for fishing this fall. I'm more excited than i have been in the past years for some reason so i'l be looking forward to fishing some new spots in SoCo this fall. Hopefully break the 20# mark. (my current high is 18#) I know thats pitiful but i dont get out enough to fish! Def fishing hard this fall and hopefully get some nice fish.

I have a couple of 3-day trips planned with online friends and will be fitting in as much fishing as possible between now and Thanksgiving...With all the bait around it looks like it could be one of the best falls...It would be nice if I could break the 32" mark , i've got 4 of them so far this season , as well as other small keepers , but i'd like a couple in the 40's , inches or pounds...i'm not picky.

I'm going to my usual spot. Been kind of slow there. Need to put in more time and effort. Went Thursday, had a couple bites, no hookups though. All the shade trees got cut down there, kind a ticked me off. This week tides look good.

I set so many goals for this year that I can't achieve them all. My biggest disapointment is that I had planned to spend more time on the sand of the cape, and that just hasn't happened. But even so, if the season ended right now I could still say I've had my best year in a long, long time..

I guess fish wise, I want a 30lb on one of my jigs in the ditch, and a I'd like a 30lb on one of my plugs on the beach and one for my dad, and an albie or 2 on a homemade would be sweet... I've come really close in the ditch, and I had my shot in the surf once already for sure. Just couldn't close the deal.

I'm only 20 minutes from the canal so I've been saving gas and putting in lots of time there and it is paying off, but I haven't hit the beach since the 3'rd week in august.

I'm fortunate that I've got family on Nantucket so I'll be heading down there to fish with my dad the first 10 days of october to get my sand fix. I'm in the middle of building a few new batches of plugs for the trip. I'm about 1/2 done but I know I'm gonna run out of time and I probably won't get a good run of needles done.... But we will have Danny's coming out the wazooo, and they will have 6X vmc's, you can count on that

My goal is to nail the sonofab@#!h that peeled 50 yards of my line yesterday and then proceeded to straiten the VMC hooks on my troublemaker surfster. His two dozen brothers weren't so fortunate but he haunted me in my dreams last night........

I was going to stay down and fish Race and the outer beaches
I would rather go to Block Island but it so all up in the air

I just came to the realization that I am not going to catch
any fish in my life time over 41 inches no mater how much
I fish and how many different plugs I have I can't seem to
pass that mark

Hoping to catch at least one striper at a couple new spots to get some more places into my rotation.

I want to bring in the fish who was fitna spool me last nite with some braid that DOESN'T break.

Break 20# by a good margin.

Get laid off and fish all fall -- it's looking like it's gonna happen!

Stock the freezer for winter.

The worst day fishing is better than the best day working. ...Wait a minute, my work IS fishing. Sweet.
