The whole city looked like a ghost town, except for troops walking down the streets in pairs. Jeff said, "If anyone jumps out and starts shooting at us, duck, and I'll run them over. You'll be okay, because they'll be aiming for me, anyways." Nothing of the sort happened, thank goodness. The high water lines were far above their heads on overpasses on the way out.
A nice thing, though -- there was a story about my sister in the Worcester Telegram, and in it, Ian had said that he missed his Pokemon cards. A 15 year old boy in a neighboring town here mailed books and books filled with the cards to Ian's school. The principal let him call the boy from the office to thank him. So nice.
