Must be a cast frame on those reels, judging by the video and Toby's breakage. They certainly look cast. It seems like a nice reel, but for what they ask for it they really should step it up a notch and go with a machined frame. Daiwa would never have to worry about a video like in Leptar's link or Toby ripping the foot off ever again. The VS frame is machined and the reel costs less...
