CapeCodder,

BigBo pretty much hit all the points.

I am not at Mary's, I am lucky enough to have a town of Marshfield permitted mooring and a shared neighborhood dock to load and offload a few bends up from Mary's, for short money.

NRM and Mary's would be your best bet. Both run by good people. Gerry Duffy at Mary's is top notch. Be prepared to shell some coin as every marina type place goes up every year. But well worth the convienace of not trailering allot. Nothing wrong with Kings landing, just farther up river, great fishing up near them bends. If your not always in a rush it is a very beautiful ride, especially this time of year. The best thing about Mary's is Gerry lets the hardcore guys stay in late until the end. All the Marina's over in Scituate Harbor are Oct 15th, and don't be there on the 16th. There is still another month of good inshore fishing till mid Nov.

Yes, the mouth of the river can make the most experienced hands white knuckled from time to time . But just wait for the tide to change and the standing waves will settle a bit. Sometimes you have to think about not taking the kids. My young ones get scared at the mouth for good reason, hell I do too on some days. And if there is absolutely no wind the midgies are real tough

Now the nice part is when the weather is bad there is great river fishing certain times of the year. May 15th to June 10th or so with a barrel of live mackeral fairly far up river is just plain outstanding Lots of fish at that time between 15 and 25 pounds, and there's always a few guys that nail some 30#ers. I'd be happy to show you some of my hot spots if you show me yours.

Maybe I'll see you next year. Unfortunately I am done for this year due to work Flag me down someday and we'll hook up.

Jon
