Thumbs down pain in the butt

i have tons of work to do yet...everythings wet ,carpet...boxes, and if i don't get things dry i will have mildew ,mold ...and even more water damage....

it rained like no tomorrow last night here.... and even though i'm on top of the mountain the hydro power pushed water down and then back up again from under the slab through a gravel bed ....and there is no sump pump.

i've been running a tube heater to help dry things out.

to quote bigfish: .I am pleased with this little test!
Larry glad your house is high and dry... bravo

this is the most rain we've ever had in recorded history for the month of october,,,,and it aint over yet.... next comes the high winds @ 7 pm

I awoke to fine that I had waterfront property. Flooded the garage and finished basement with about 18". Apparently the three foot outlet pipe for the little stream behind my house clogged, the water rose, collapsed the road and the road effectively dammed the stream. Some parts of my yard were under about 5 feet. What a crappy day,

Best regards,
Roger

Along the coast in NJ every shore town has these little ponds to act as catch basins when it rains. It is up to some town employee to open up the outflo pipe to the ocean in anticipation of a good rain.well for some reason three towns never got the pipe to the ocean opened up.belmar has 2 ponds one in town an one at the south end that was not open'd.they have a pump goin wit a pipe accross ocean ave to drain down the one lake.Deal lake borders Asbury park an Loch Arbor.probably the Nicest part of asbury an a very nice area across the lake many homes under water. My friend lives in Belmar he has water up to his floor joist's his garage much like mine is loaded wit gear has 30 " of water in it.It came real fast thursday night friday morn as it rained hard all night.there are alot of cars total'd along wit lots of house damage. As many where caught off guard.they can't near the pipe to open it now its way too dangerous.Someone's gonna pay as damage's will reach record amounts.15 inches of rain in 8 days.alot are sayin worst storm ever.

Tony:
We have had such massive flooding in my town that they declared a state of emergency yesterday. There are people here that lived through the 38 hurricane and say this flooding is worse.
Me, my roof leaked and had about 3 " of water in the basement. But I live high on a hill. Not so bad

No boat, back in the suds.
