When I was in high school, my junior and senior year, I had a part-time job working for the East Greenwich Cemetery.....I used to cut grass and dig graves. I dug them the old-fashioned way, with an edger to remove the sod, and a pickaxe and long-handled shovel.
Now, during the summer, during heat waves - we'd get a lot of business, as old people tend to croak in twos and threes, even in small towns.
Sometimes I'd be digging three graves a day and it would go into the night before I'd finish.
My point?
I learned at an early age that when you're dead, Jack, you dead. I probably dug a couple hundred graves during my stint at the yard - I never saw a ghost, never had a complaint from a customer.

Arrow those that "passed" on

in your case Joe......you were lucky...i have a ghost here at my house...
i hear him (heavy footsteps) walking up the cellar stairs at least once a week.

it's not the best feeling ... and people who are murdered or have unfinished buisness here, refuse to leave or trancend.

i detest what Hollywood has done to the paranormal... it's now a big JOKE.

take the herb black cohosh for example... for women experiencing the hot and cold flashes from menopause it's a godsend remedy and works beautifully. My wife cannot believe it...how good it works, after taking it.
in days of old...
Mid- wives and herbalist's ( branded as witches, worlocks) imprisoned and then executed for being "Evil dooers" for the use of a plant went on for way to long. It was more excepted to drill friggan holes in people skulls to let the evil demons out of the body.... but use a plant to heal yourself...
let's gettum ...hangem ...burn em, dround em , off with their heads.

and it still is going on today... except it's in a different form, but just as nasty. Under those circumstances the body is DEAD yes, but the soul
refuses to leave for the injustice done to it. i absolutely hate halloween.

When they built our house 30 years ago there were 2 uninscribed headstones in the woods. The contractor disturbed one of the graves and we had a ghost for years doing all sorts of little things...nothing life threatening just little annoyances. He finally stopped after about 10 or 12 years.

No boat, back in the suds.

Post The "la Ghosta"

was what the two mexican masons called the spirit

they saw one night while walking back to their little trailer

with their usual arm load of tortillia's ,masa, pepperchini's and frijoles

for the week end.... and they were still laying there next to the driveway

because after they saw it... they became so afraid that they had dropped everything, ran away
fleeing in a panic. i saw them the next morning around 5 am (sun-up) and they were
still very Shaken .....and noticibly quite nervous about it...even

saying they wanted to go home to mexico....

with a sweep off of the palm gesture...that had special meaning.

I gave them all of the food again and they thanked me...and repeatedly

said very seriously : no la gusta la ghosta - they didnt like ghosts - loosely translated

i shook my head and wondered what they saw.....Much later, they told me

about a lady who floated in a light blue dress at the 200 year old house.

what we'd call a shack ...now just a tilted brown boarded house
wanting to
fall down old relic... with a dirt floor...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
2 years later i was making my rounds just as it got dark......a storm was moving in and little puffy clouds would sail on thru looking like vw bugs
in size.....always amazing to see, as they would sometimes just hit you with cold and wet moist air....and if they caught some moonlight...definately creepy.

that was normal...par for the course...but then i saw something luminous
out near the old house (down in the valley) going against the direction that the wind and puffy mini rain clouds were heading....and i'm like
W- T- F ?????
(or who?) is this...thinking someone with a bluish flashlight... i get down closer for a better view... and it moved around
then inside the old house.....setting it aglow... by now i'm half paralyzed ....
the hair on the back of my neck was standing straight up
by the time i get to the house as i had decided to do a stealth approach
it was gone.... but there was... this sweet smell . When i told the two mexicans the next day about seeing the la ghosta again they went pale
and the fear in their eyes was off the scale.
I asked them about those wiji (weejee) boards (sp)
for contacting the spirits
and they we're completely flipping out now.....
saying with fingers waving....no freakin way!
shakin their heads, absolutely NOT.

Parker Bros game I'll never know.
