I fish it a fair amount, but don't have the permit. I just fish right out front across from the bridge, and do okay. Have heard some great things about Gurnet, but at $200 a season, I just don't get there often enough to spring for it....(well, I do, but the wife wouldn't let me have 'her" truck often enough to make it worth it......
)
One nice thing about the area, you have the option of ocean front or fishing the bay, which can also give up some nice fish.
