Mine did that once. Fixed it by doing what pete explained above.

Thinking about it a little more, get some red Loc-Tite before you make the adjustment. Put some on the threads and it should at least discourage it from happening in the future.

thanks for the tip on the loc tight...... i was pretty po'd while i was holding on and trying to get it to work........ it kinda defeats the purpose of speanding the $$$ if you still have to spend time worrying about it.

the worst a manual penn ever did was turn back and foul the line.... snapped a plug or 2 back but the handle never stopped turning....
