Nice , this is his second 50 in 2 or 3 years on his boat, no? gonna have to go and take a look over at sammys. Was he using the inshore or offshore size?

These fish are awesome! I know Capn D and he has been using them quietly all season long, with great success both inshore and offshore. The 52 he got Monday night was ahead of that Noreaster, and he was within sight of every car passing over the Newport Bridge(no spot burn here) granted they would have needed binoculars and night vision, but it goes to show you that big fish still roam these waters well into the fall. That 52 pic is posted at Sammys in Middletown, weighed in the following day around noon. Probably went 56 or 57 the night before> I want 1!

These fish can be shipped right to RI. I found out that they can be shipped (legally) right to your door via fedex overnight. They come in 2 different sizes, and are actually a selectively bred common goldfish . They have gotten permission from the DEM through Capn D to be a licensed bait dealer in the state of RI. The fish is no more than a heartier koi type fish that stays alive in the salt water for up to 3 hours or so. I was told they must be held in fresh water tanks, but do quite well for weeks in a common cooler with airation. They obviously produce......
