I kept 5 bass this year, all caught in Sept/Oct. Ate some of them and then vacuum sealed the remainder for my once a week striper dinner. Should last me to spring. Kept 3 blues, all badly injured from umbrellas or trebles, for immediate eating, tasty....
Have never vacuumed blues as I heard they do not freeze well. If someone has done so successfully and can give me the secret, I may consider in the future.
All fish I keep are eaten either immediately, given to friends or vacuumed for the freezer.

I'm a gluttonous pig apparantly,
probably 8+ bass thjs year; one more would be nice, eat alot fresh, give alot to friends etc..

none this year
I will usually keep one or two in a year, when I get a 28" or so orit is a bad bleeder. None this year as the wife was excpecting and eatin bass is about as good for a fetus as chewin on lead paint chips. One 3 lb blue went in the smoker  |
