nice 35#er....

Next season I'm going to hand-weigh my fish so I can compete with all you cow-catchers....

Hopefully this cycle will repeat itself next year when I can actually fish again.

I hope you're right about it being a cycle, never caught so many 30# range fish.
This is the year of the 30's. Hope next year they're 40's.

I think what he's trying to say is..."your experienced tutor loves yellow rods"...it's code for "I'm jealous"

Seriously Dave, when was that scale last calibrated? If the fish was weighed, why does it have an eel in it's mouth?

You've a lot of 'splaining to do

I weighed it after I unhooked it silly. AND... the scale was used 2 weeks ago to weigh a fish that was officially weighed the next day. My scale read 36 pounds and the official scale read 36.55. Hey I don't really care too much about this whole thing. This is my 8th 30 this year. I didn't post this to get slammed, I was just trying to motivate the unsure. The fish was 46" long and the scale read 35. Sorry if you don't like it... may be it wasn't 35 but it was close.

CanalMan - I'm glad you didn't read too far into my reply...cuz it wasn't very deep...who cares what it weighed? Fish proportions have not been right in years...we've been catching LOOONG/skinny fish that should've,,,weighed much more than they have.... for quite a few years now...anyone catching large knows that...

** To the Choir: I'm not knocking anyone so shove your peanus back up your gallery -

*** Spence - you're 100% correct on the jealous comment. Having not seriously fished this season, I've been depressed and suicidal all season long, seeing and reading all the great fishing that was to be had. Jealous of not being out there, NOT jealous of someone else's fisheez

I applaud the guys still going at it. It DOES pay-off. Congratulations CanalMan and Fishaholic -
