Should work just fine. Only thing is that you will want to change out the bronze hooks.

u'll see alot of cross over's from fresh to salt....you just need to look around at the shape's and color's .

BOAT fish do count.

A Muskie lure maker sometimes sell their plugs at the salt water fishing shows. I think they were called Ratke.

Yea only thing you gotta watch out for is the strength of the lure and its materials... esp the hooks. Most freshie hooks are bronze which will last you 1 trip in the salt.

Many of those who fish the Muskie Lures have been asking the saltwater manufacturers to make larger plugs for freshwater...
