I can tell you they WORK! I have used and continue to use them. One is in my bag now. I like the SALMO lures in particular the FATSO and well as a few others. You will have to change out the split rings and hooks to something heavy duty. I have gotten a few 30's on them. You can mail order them from the midwest.

I'm curious as to how the supersize versions of inline spinners like Bluefox or Mepps would work.Anyone ever try?

Those Bluefox Super Vibrax spinners worked great on just about anything that swam in the pond.

I've had the catalog for Salmo on my desk for a long time.....
NJ Angler did a story about their products last year.

I know striper lures work on Pike. I use darters, swimmers and bomber b17s here and catch large Pike.

You have to remember that lure manufactures don't make lures to catch fish,
they make them to catch fisherman. They don't know what a fish is thinking,
however, they do know what a fisherman is thinking!!!!
