Does Bass Pro shops carry habs? or tattoo? or any of the other awesome striper lures out there? I think not. but please don't get any ideas Habs.

And Joe, funny you say that, in high school when I worked at star market, then ran out of hot dog buns on 4th of July weekend and had me go down the road to Stop and Shop and buy every damn hot dog bun on the shelf!

Bought my two St. Croix rods at Bass Pro in MD. The good aspect about about the store was their selection range. I picked up and evaluated 15 or so surfcasting rods before deciding I wanted to go with St. Croix.

Bass Pro may cater to the lures and techniques of the given area. In MD they carried few bass plugs but concentrated on jigs and gear for trolling up stripers in the Chesapeake. I could see them carrying plugs of intrest for this region.

Bass Pro

The Bass Pro website shows the new sight in the store location as comming soon "Under Construction". I'll still buy from the locals for the salt water stuff, probably will be picking up freshwater gear at Bass Pro, since it will be 5 minutes from my house!

Angry

I hate those mega stores. Ya drive miles, waste gas, park in a lot where your

truck gets dinged, so much inventory ya don't know what to buy, walk out with

stuff ya never came for, and save 5 bucks made in some unkown country, after

talkin to a clerk that knows nothin.

I remember hearing the rumors about 6-8 months ago that they were looking at land around that area. About the only thing I could see myself buying there would be waders and thats if they had a killer sale. Tough to stop in that area for me, at that point I can taste the Cape.

And ditto to BobT's idea about Mike at M&D's....is a salesman at BassPro going to say "swing by the shop and Ill show you how to do chevrons".......not in this lifetime.....more likely response at BP would be...."chevrons? you in the army?"

I bet you guys did not know that Abuchon Hardware stores are now BPS dealers. Abuchon signed a long tearm deal with Bass Pro a few months ago. They will be able to sell most everything available by Bass Pro.
