Flyfisher---I think most replys here make valid points. But BY Far the most valid point is access and keeping it . Somewhere out there is a Rhode Island Sea Grant publication--Public Access To Beaches of Rhode Island (1993). I've tried without success to find it. It is very exact in describing points of access. Several have been "blocked" by private landowners. These would probably all be winnable in court(clubs and individuals could all chip in the bucks). But like others have brought up---When you bring alot of people to an area- what happens?? Not just the good (I realize people live here) crowd goes there, but the people we've seen really mess up other areas we care about. It's almost like a two edged sword. Open it up---and they'll close it down TIGHT. Leave it alone and some can get in there. Hey Buddy, I know it's not Fair (I'm more blue-collar than most) , but until someone comes up with The Perfect Solution??????????
