I guess they figure that the Oil companies can increase the price during the Peak Travel times why shouldn't they be able to do it during the peak Electricity usage time.....just in time for all of those Xmas lights

You guys think you have it bad, huh. Here is what we paid per month to a "not for profit" public agency, in October:

"Basic service", 17.9 cents per day for 31 days---$5.55

258KWH @ 12.41 cents per KWH--$32.22

1582 KWH @ 12.88 cents per KWH---$203.76

Fuel surcharge---$78.25

Delivery and supply subtotal--$319.78

Added charges:

PILOTS (whater the eff that is) $6.74

Suffolk County property tax adjustment--$6.42

Sales tax @ 2.5%---$8.32

Other costs subtotal---$21.48

Total bill---$341.26

But they do pre-pay the postage on the envelope you mail them the bill in, so knock 37 cents off that if you pay by mail
