Dad, just curious. Don't you seal before adding the weights?

No, I have been putting all the weight in and covering/filling w/ wood putty and then sealing them. It seems to be working so far for me....I am pretty new to this so It could be the wrong way.

I'[m always open to suggestions too

What seals the hole area?? I was taught to turn, drill ....then seal... now add the weights etc! am I wrong in this way of thinking?

I figure the sealer penetrates thru. Why not seal the filler too?

I feel that it is better to seal the plug before adding anything. The wood filler should be waterproof. (check to see if it is water or solvent based. Solvent based is better IMHO)
