U have to be carefull wit alot of stuff hangin off ya when u get IN the water.its just more stuff to strap u too the bottom.Best is to keep it simple.Less is more.A good dive knife can save ur life.Lots of guys like the henderson Hyperstretch. In 5 mill like it has been said its easier to cool off when u get cold its impossible to shake the chill.Lots of times in the water ur ok its when u get out to fish on a rock the insulating layer of water between ur body an the wetsuit leaves that u get cold.I do the dive sock wit a pair of Chota's but I'm lookin for another boot as the chota's get heavy.an after 3 yrs are at the end of their life. Those boots lap posted look like something to try.some guys like studded boots for RI surf they look OK as korkers can be a pain in the A on some rocky area's.I think LL bean makes a pair with a lifetime warranty.IMO wetsuiting is the safest best way to access some spots that u would not think of goin to in waders. But be carefull if u put a top like a aqua skins on it traps waterthe rubber gaskets in the arms an the waist will let water in an when u get out all the sudden u have ten gallons of water in ur shirt.when u get ur suit I reccomend doin a dry run wit no tackle to see what its like an learn ur limitations.everyone is different.

most of the time I use studded simms guide boots, they don't grab as well as korkers but are alot lighter and in most spots serve me well.other times korker are a must.

I agree, 5mm Sporasub two piece suit is a great outfit. Henderson and Bare also make great suits. For free diving Sporasub is terrific...best suit I've ever owned.

I actually got mine from a guy through you. Pretty sure it's the same suit you use. Saw you on the overlook back in October wearing it.

All great info HH, but can you tell my VS's they are the only reel that will make it? 3 VS's and one Saltiga in 2 seasons. Still looking for that "magic reel" that can keep up with me.
