It is actually and honor to help continue on this fine tradition of both the Wincapaw's and the Snowe family. I was scheduled to fly last week but had to cancel due to the weather. The trip was from Jones Beach to Menemsha and we will now go next week on that flight. Unfortunately we can not have every child participate due to weather, daylight, time and $$. Our first stop on this Saturday is at 0800 and the last one around 1630. As you can see we go and go and go.

As I stated before, we have a ball with the program and the hardest part is raising the annual funds to keep it going like anything else. Three things need to happen to make it a success:

Santa Better Be good and not go partying the evening before, he must be on his toes.

The helicopter is always a highlight for any of the kids even if they are 60 years old

Finally, the kids wait with anticipation as each is called out by name and not just handed out a toy with no idea who the child is.

It is a small organization with a big job and we have a great presentation if any clubs are ever interested. It is mainly the history with great video and photos.

Thanks Again,

Dave

Yesterday's Flights

Had a great day yesterday filling the role of SANTA. Started out in Newburyport where there was several inches of snow. Following Newburyport, we stopped at Annisquam Lighthouse, Gloucester Station, Boston Light after droppinga box from the air at Hospital Point Light. After Boston Light was Point Allerton Station, Scituate Light, Gurnett Point Light, Cape Cod Canal Station, Brant Point Station on Nantuclet, Chatham Light and finally Highland Light. Did see several hundred seals beached up on shoals in the Tuckernuck Island area and Monomoy Island.

All in all it was a great day after listening to about 150 children telling me what they wanted for cChristmas, most were reasonable and fun to listen to. I just don't know how SANTA will deliver the one pony a little girl wanted.
