Keep what you will eat. Try to be exact though. If you know you can't eat a 30lb bass, don't take one. settle on a smaller one. As long as you will eat it and you aren't breaking the law <shrug> do what you want. I keep a rope on my surf bag for Fluke. I like them because they taste well, easy to fillet, and just big enough for one.
