Last night with goose

Hit the river last night with Goose the wind was bad but in the river was fishable. There were three boats drifting herring and cut bait when we got there and all were getting fish. The largest I saw was about 30#. I could not get herring but Goose had some eels so we made a few drifts with out much luck so I put on a bucktail jig with one of GS large plastic eels and hit on the second pass, not a monster but the first in the boat for the night. We moved to GS favorite spot were the fish started to smash the surface after sandeels. I hit a few there and Goose got a few then lost a nice fish. The fish smashing bait were all small and there did not seem to be any large guess they moved out with the cold temps?

Bloo notice that Goose has on camo clothing? I think he is trying to sneak up on the fish with out them knowing and then he plans on just smacking them over the head that way they can't get away

Too soon for eels! Wait till they get the Herring out of their "systems" and then the eels will work well!
