The best thing right now, is herring. Second would probably be squid followed by bunker (menhaden) and mackeral... Now is this live or dead and from shore or boat? Currently in CT, there is no taking of live herring whatsoever and the have pretty strict rules on dead herring too - best to check with a local shop on that...
