No. It lays flat along the plug when you cast it. Then it opens up in the water....

Nice job Nebe. I think Musso used to make something similar but even smaller. Like 3" or so and 2 ozs.

Just make sure the blue bastages aren't around when you use it or the hackles will be nubs real quick.

Similar to the 'Pocket Rocket' which was a 1 hook (no trebble) about 3.5 or 4" if I remember the one time I have seen one...
I just finished a few lighter ones ~1.5oz with a big single hook and 7" hackles...
