I make prop plugs with 2" magnum screw eyes back and front. Drill hole just a little smaller than screw, no glue at all. Very strong in maple needles. Can be adjusted by turning with pliers. 2" screw is long enough to catch belly swivel as well.

That particular needle has no belly weight and it spins on a fast retrieve.
Works ok on a very slow retrieve, which is the way I use it. Tried trolling with it once in Fla., wasn't paying attention, talk about twisted mono.
Not one of my best, but if you want to trade I could make some more.
