How would have Bill Clinton respoinded to 9/11

What is the answer to my question above? How does anyone here think Clinton would have responded to 9/11?

Also how does anyone here think Kerry would have responded to 9/1?

Kerry wanted a more "sensative" war if i remember, need i say anything else?...and Clinton, his track record speaks for itself. What did he do when the first WTC was bombed, the USS Cole, and the countless attacks on our fighter jets by Iraq. Nothing if i remember correctlly. Thats all i have to go by so to think he would have done a heck of alot after 9/11 leaves me wondering.....

Probably not much...I don't think he would be the answer either.

Nobody is questioning what Bush did immediately after 9/11. Going into Afghanistan was the the right thing to do IMHO and most of America was behind him on that one.

Its the Quagmire that is becoming Iraq that has a lot of people torqued right now. We should have finished w/ Afghanistan instead of 1/2 assing that. And if we are going to commit to Iraq then Do it, Do it right, and do it for the right reasons....then get out.

And these are MY opinions I'm not trying to speak for anybody else.

Or I could just say "Oh Sure You Right-Wing, Neo-Conservative, Bible-Thumpers are starting up another Clinton Bashing Thread. I wouldn't expect anything less from you Republicans"

****Disclaimer**** That was just Sarcasm

I dunno - I seem to recall abit that the FBI was still determining part of the responsibility of the Cole incident and that their were issues in the FBI working with Yemen in getting this stuff done. The general consesus was Al Qeida. I also seem to recall that the transition team of B2 had ideas of their own they wanted to do if it was Al Queda. My memory is extremely fuzzy on that but I recall this info was in the 9/11 report.

Neither one of these guys have done a brilliant job regarding Al Queda. Clinton would toss some Tomahawks and not much else. Bush was at least working the Afghanistan side fairly well until he stripped some of the resources for Iraq. He didn't finish that job.

What would have McCain done?

I still can't beleive that between the first bombing , the Cole bombing , then 9/11, that we did not respond with force on 9/12.
We should be better than that.

It takes time to plan military operations. You just cant go the following day. The military doesn't do stuff half ass, they get a plan in place and then kick ass. You cant go the day after, its unrealistic when you have not drawn up a plan yet. With Bush he got a plan in place and went to work...With the stuff that happend under Clinton, well he just didnt do anything, ever it seemed.
