yeah,that was the intended idea.when i swam the proto a few months ago no one could have been more surprised than me when it actually worked.things don't usually pan out that way for me.to be honest,i'm pretty amazed i can even make plugs without lopping off a digit or two with how mechanically inclined i am
it makes for a pretty versitile popper.does everything a traditional pencil does,with the swimming action being a nice added feature.i imagine you could do them with off center turning.but i'm to scared to even try it.i turn out the blank,and then take it to the belt sander.then finish up the sanding by hand.
