Bio-diesel costs a lot more then .70. I have seen it for something like $3.70/gal. It generally costs more then reg diesel when ever I saw it . While it is a "green" fuel, I don't think it has the same energy density of fuel from the earth. The reason it costs more is it takes energy to actually make it. If you can get it for .70 I would look into it closely before you fill up.

Mr, Sandman..Did I see at a lot of the gas stations on the Vineyard during the last derby?? The only place I have seen it or at least that I have have noticed...

I think you are confusing cooking oil at 70 cents a gallon with bio-diesel that costs more than regular diesel. They are two very different things.

Yes its true that most gas stations selling B5 do charge the same or more for the biodiesel, but if you make it yourself, much cheaper but you do need to through in some elbow grease.

From what I understand, most restruants will give you their waste oil for free which is where the 70 cents comes in.
I was only asking if people were using or considering using.

Satybugger, please keep us informed on the process and pheasibility of homebrew fuel. I would be very interested in your findings.
