Of minor interest, I think the Goo goo eyes was a copy of an earlier Pt Jude swimmer, of nearly identical shape and lip style (the pt jude had a slight cup to the edge of the lip). Maybe someone's got a picture? I saw one on ebay recently.

Goo Goo's

I have always thought of the large goo goo's as trolling lures. In my opinion and experience, they don't cast great. The bass in my avatar picture is a 54 lb caught on a blue goo goo trolled off nomans land. Attached is a picture of my favorite goo goo's the 4" swimmer. Those are best fished off of a boat or from a pier where you can point your rod tip down and work it back in with steady jerking motions. There were also Goo Goo poppers. One had a nice fat head and made a really nice spray.

They aren't the best casters, but are awful sexy with an eelskin on.
