Much obliged folks,my friends Dad moved down to Melbourne a couple years ago and he walks an outflow drifting shrimp in the daytime and does well on occasion.A friend recently went down and threw bucktails with success. We'll see how it goes, taking the oldest to Disney and Universal and then to visit friends on the coast for a couple days chasing reds and jacks.Pix will follow if Mr. Big is located.

redfish plastics

Redfish are fun at times you can find them bottom feeding in the flats with their tail in the air. But they are easily spooked try a jig head with a plastic shrimp tail use the smelly jelly also. The color that has worked well for me in the shrimptail are chart w/glitter in it with a red tail and red body w/white tail. Also if you have a chance down there look for cocahoe lures its a type of minnow lure gold body green back has done me well. Good luck. Redfish is good eat'in try it blackened .

One last thing!

If you find yourself spooking them to much throw your lure on land then bring it to them.
