108 1L.? I would use heavier rods for largemouth bass.
I had a 132 1L.It lasted bout ten trips b4 i folded it in half casting a 2.5 needle.I prefer the 108 1M i have the factory rod.Served me well. I had a 10' 542 wrapped spinning for me this fall past my new favorite rod.
There seems to be this surgence back towards conventional tackle. For casting on the beach.I don't really understand it.I guess some just consider it more fun.Which is fine i still think it is harder to fish with has way to many limitations.an on a long walk it has a greater chance of a reel malfunction that will render it useless.I have used convetionalls allot I always joke around an say i can cast a swivel. In the surf they just don't make sense to me.Eel man uses em an he certainly has more big fish than me but it hink thats just circumstance.Slower retrieves or lets say it right Less Line retrieved per turn of the handle will have u in better contact with ur offering.an u won't have to worry bout windknots with needles. There's a plus.
Good luck wit the new sticks.
