I was aiming at yoru prop wash, but clammer's warwick accent bellowing across the water made me giggle as i let fly, thus sending my 4 ounce darter across your bow. arrrr a warning shot matey

Bill, that's a handsome lookin' boat. You'll really enjoy it.

I'm getting a new trolling motor (80# thrust), so I'm excited to get in the water. It will be like a brand new boat. Had a 55# (12v) and had to really watch how much I used it or I'd be out of juice. The 80# is 24v and will go all day and will move my boat around.

The smaller boats are pretty versatile... you throw a minn kota on that and you can really work in tight to the rocks. Skinny water too.

Yep, the riptide series is built for saltwater. The 80# thrust is around $750 out of cabelas or bass pro shops. Its my christmas present.

Even though they are made for salt, it is a disposable item. Between the salt and the beating a bow mount takes, I'd say 4-5 years? That would be my best guess of what to expect.
