thats a drag....
sorry to hear that PETE....and ya know....the audacity of the individual who creased your truck....and did the damage created more of a dent to your health...a side effect to the rage,,,,than what it'll take probably to fix it...is what concerns me...
so take it in stride.... don't let it ripple your waters too much....
there's more A-holes right around every corner unfortunately.
i love the smell of bondo in the morning....
i was tellin Bigfish this story about how my brother and i had this racing bug that we sanded so smooth it was like silk.....and the day we get it back from the paint guys shop...we stopped in fairhaven to get something from the auto parts store...and left the beautifully painted blue metalic bug alone for like all of ten minutes and some A-hole had already hit it....and was gone... blew our minds.

It's big enough to notice, definitely not big enough to warrant bondo. Feeling a lot better now, especially thanks to some optimism about paintless dent removal.
Very few things truly set me off, that happens to be one though. I'm fairly sedate and quiet most of the time. So don't worry about my blood pressure.

Pete,
That sucks. You are right about the lack of personal responsibility of some people.
The first decent car that I bought was hit a few weeks after i got it and crushed in my rear door. I was on a fishing trip and left the car at my in-laws on a cul-de-sac that no one goes down. The punk teen kid that lived across the street did it or one of his buddies, but I could not prove it. Anyway I can understand your frustration.
There are probably a few body shop guys on this board that can help you get it fixed. A little barter of some fishing goods, and maybe reserving a plug or two in the future that are hard to come by.....
Sounds like a great truck - hopefully after the anger and frustration lessen and you get it fixed you will enjoy driving it again.
Pete

those paintless dent guys are "ok",,, if they can get it out,, they will... or at least it will "look" better. don't try do it yourself.
be advised if it's creased too much the clear will have minute' cracks in it and water will eventually make it to the metal and start a tiny rust spot....or whear there pokin at the inside of the door skin can scratch. out of sight out of mind
but ,, you bieng a stickler,, should keep that from happening with a little bit of wax.
there's a reason there cheaper. and used car dealers love 'em so much

I volunteered the show for 3 days and definetly feel your pain. As chance would have it I have just bought a new gmc personal truck and new toyota business truck. The first 2 days i took the tocoma up, the last day the gmc. Each day I took the license plate, or plates of the neighboring vehicle(s). What I would do if dents had happened I do not know but....

Pete
Sorry to hear that. Hope it comes out without too much hassle.
It is really frustrating, esp when you know its someone that just doesnt care about others property. Ive put some scratches on my 2004 1/2 dodge otherwise shes like brand new, but hey they are MY scratches, and I would feel the same if some lamebrain dented it and just walked away. Some people just suck.
Were you parked in the fenced in area below or the garage?

4th floor in the parking garage. Our Uhaul was down in the bullpen.
I feel the same way about MY scratches Tinman. If I put them in it's still frustrating, but it's my fault. If someone else does you get a rant like the above.
