NICE! good idea.

make it heavier with some lead and then try it. maybe it will go down more.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

rigging question

That looks great! I fished whole squid last year. Caught fish but always lost the tentacles. I had the same idea but hadn't yet attempted it. What did you use in the center? How did the you attach the squid to it? I see the rubber band, but I dont see one on the tentacles. Thanks.....I can't wait to get started.

Its just some red sedar spun down to 7/8ths with 1/2oz lead one inch back from the nose. The tail is 3/8ths dowel with sinker eyes epoxeid in . I was worried about the tentacles getting sucked off by small fish so there is two barbs sticking out to hold the head in place. I made a larger one, weights 2 1/2oz with out squid, but the squid i had (frozen california) were too small. It looks real sexy darting along the surface with those tentacles trailing. WIll let ya guys know how it does this season. Right now i got it stored in a koser salt, anyone got any btter ideas on how to store it?

Maybe in batter and hot oil?

Id say shrink the size of the belly, load it with lead, and wing it out into a rip in June, fish it like a needle.
