Tagger bait

Taken awhile, but I think I'm ready to go fishing for Taggers.
7 inches, 3.4 oz, slow wagging subsurface swimmer. Should do the trick, but does anyone know if it is OK to put your foot on their head when you unhook 'em? I'm kind of squeamish about touching one.
