No I'm honored sir ,, I think you got more time in on this one than me ..Great lure ... would like to try the single belly hook one like that ,.. Want to get an original ... I make the big one with 2 belly hooks and the tail hook .. I run 1 5/0 on the belly and 1 5/0 on the tail .. runs the same as the 3 3/0.... thanks Tobias for that ..look at all the money we are saving on metal lips ..

A Floyd, with a nose job, looks neat.
Nice work, as per usual.

The hooks are new (1986 vintage Mustads), something funny about the lighting (no flash?) just makes them look used. I did fish it tonight, however. Too bouyant (in spite of a tail weight and floating attitude as you've described). Hard to get it down, and it took too fast a retrieve to keep it down, but it looked really good when it was swimming (just faster than I'd want). Either more weight, a higher line tie, wider diving plane, or slimmer profile...........I don't know..... but seems like it is worth tweeking. FYI it wasn't anywhere near an exact copy of an original, I don't have one of the medium ones. Cool plug, as you and PNG have found out, and one with a lot of promise.

Mine swims and stays down just fine I made the larger one... I tried different wood and was prepared to do hardwoods but ayc worked just fine .. I think red cedar or white pine would be a bad choice ,,too light .. I look at this lure as a fishy looking bottle darter . Maybe VB will post pick... here we go ...

Nothing like having a real model ,,,, pictures aren't as accurate ... Why couldn't you just go up the street to the Flap museum and borrow one...
