So you have intimacy issues?

Nowadays I just sigh....say F and a houses and move.

7 Miles on each side or close to it and because you are in a spot I think some assume its the place they need to be to.... I don`t like it.

100 feet or more is ok but not 20 to 40 ft....not on the canal.

Good health and family

Too close

100 feet or more is okay, not 20 or 40 on the canal ... not anywhere, unless you have invited them in or they have requested your approval and you give it to them ...

20' to 40' is fine. If the guy or gal knows how to fish. Hell, 10 feet is fine if you don't get in my way.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

100 feet You must have never fished herring near the run. No one will give you 100 feet if they want to fish a particular hole or rip. Nice dream though.

This time of year im not too worried about neighbors, i give bout 75 feet or so. Come night i gotta have some room to get a good drift, if they are within talking distance and down stream i give then a friendly heads up bout my tactic. Sometimes they move, if they dont they get my line on their first cast then leave cuz they feel like a moron.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Wow!!! That was some fishing today!!! Last night I broke my second rod in week trying to push a cast past the middle with a 3 ounce lure. I ordered a honey lami 3M. See if that holds up. I have snapped a total of 5 lami's (1Ls and 1Ms) within the last year. Each time I was trying to force a cast on breaking fish. Anyone else have this problem?

This morning the Canal Gods took pity on me and let me catch many keepers, several over 40". All on topwater. Man - I love custom carved wood.

This afternoon a spry young fella took a 49" 35#. Tip of the hat to him for big fish of the day.

Talking Great AM!

I was at the canal also and caught several keepers. I saw a few nice fish. My biggest was 42 inches I wish I would have brought my scale and a camera. But If I did I would have gotten skunked. But on the way home a picked up a waterproof disposable to put in my bag for a rainy day . It is my first spring fishing for stripers and my biggest stiper so far. And hopefully many more to come.

This mornings catch was excellent by any measure except for yesterday. Numerous fish on top, but all in the 30 to 35" size range. Tomorrow may be the last day for the wood throwing crowd until the next set of tides in two weeks. Wow did ever come down this morning! As soon as the rain letup just before first light, the fish appeared.
