Braid is great stuff.It's smaller diameter an low stretch helps transmit whats going on from the plug to the working end of ur rod much more so than mono.U can feel a fish fart with it.Plus u will add a good 10-20 percent to ur casting distance.The biggest difference u will encouter is the lack of stretch.Because there is basically no give in the line u will have to make some adjustments.A lighter drag will help to keep the hooks in a fishes head.U can always lightly palm the spool if needed.U should probably upgrade any light weight hooks an splitrings as they don't do well under the added strain.I happen to like fireline.Some will go as light as 14 lb test to cast plugs like bombers an small redfins off the beach I use twenty for that application an use 30 lb for larger plugs an rocky area's, as well as fishing the ditch.
