Excellant thread Eddie
thanks for posting it.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

very cool but it looks like a lot of work... I'm too lazy.
What about the jig boxes I think capesam posted a few years ago. It basically has a screw in one end and nail that goes thru a block of wood at the same height on the other. Thats how I do my plugs that don't have lips.
Couldn't you jsut put the plug on the screw belly side up and drill? Maybe i'm missing something.

Diggin jiggin .. This is just one part.. I have a series of jigs to make certain plugs . Like I said I use this block for 3 things ,,1.check my piece on the lathe to keep some kinda uniform shape.. 2. all my placements for belly hole ,weight, top of slope ,eyes, easy transfer ,, no measuring .. no thinking 3. to drill a perfect 90 degree hole in bottom of plug that may or may not be important to you ,,if you make jigs it will be .. Yes I remember CS post .. on darter block this past year.. how do you think I had been doing it year before..As far as being lazy ..jigs are all about being lazy ... Alot of work yea .. but one time and all the figuring is done.. I may spend a long day making a series of jiggs to make a difficult plug and if the plug isn't quite right (Nike) I smash all the jiggs with a hammer.. Second (another whole day) attempt was perfect and now its alot easier forever building that plug .. Plus I've gotten better making jiggs .. I'd show ya ,,but can't give it all away ..

Hey Ed, pretty cool idea with that Vblock. I have a saw like that one. I made a larger table with cabinet grade ply ... I have a vblock made like that but you know me, I'm not too bright! I did'n think to harness it down
