Leptar, just wanted to say sorry to hear about what happened...I'm new to the site and for the most part, the sport...looks like you've gotten some great advice, some of which i'm going to put to work myself. Fortunately, I've also got the buddy system working...thanks J.Sylvester...

Sorry to hear about your fisfortune but glad to hear your ok. Gives me something else to think about. I fish alone 95% of the time and the thought of slipping on a rock and breaking a bone (even with korkers) or getting swept away by a rogue wave lingered in the back of the mind, that or having my vehicle broken into or vandalized. Now this is something else to consider. I may have to give the pepper spray some consideration, I know I wouldn't give up my stuff without a fight. That being said it's a given these hoodlums are local and this is one of their hangouts. Some recon around the same time and place of said incidence should be done to locate said PMF's, get the items back and let them know that fisherman won't stand for this crap.
