Maybe one of those floats that I want to get for my daughter, the kind that wrap around the rod.

This was one of the smaller fish of the day... if it would have been like those good ones you guys caught, the rod would be gone. That was as close to a fish jumpin' in the boat as I've ever had.

On a side note:

John, my daughter and her friend apparently got into your box that was in the garage. They pilfered two "eels" for use in Britta's little swimming pool. Karen didn't know they weren't mine and let them use 'em.

The eels were 13" got stripers jerkbaits. From what my wife described, it could have been used as a commercial for ledgerunner baits as they were throwing them, swing them, playing tug-o-war and aside from a small set of teeth marks in one of them, they stood up well against two 4 year olds.

I'll return them the next time we get together.
